Friday practices
Adria is a new circuit for the DTM race calendar, although the teams tested there prior to the start of the season. It's a 'stop and go' track with heavy emphasis on braking as there's a lot of corners and only one real distance straight.
Marcel was third fastest in the first practice: he had been second behind Bernd Schneider for most of the session until Jean Alesi went a couple of tenths quicker. The top eleven were seperated by less than a second.
